Cocaine is a potent, extremely dangerous drug that is also highly addictive. Cocaine addiction has serious physical effects including:

  • Loss of appetite

Long-term use of cocaine can cause:

Cocaine addiction is not gender specific and affects people of all age groups and economic levels. It is one of the most expensive illicit drug habits and causes tremendous financial strain on the user and all persons connected to the user.

Cocaine Withdrawal

When a person who is addicted to cocaine, reduces their use of the drug, they will experience cocaine withdrawal symptoms such as:

  • Fatigue

Even with the best of intentions, people who try to stop using the drug on their own often find that they relapse because the cocaine withdrawal symptoms can be so uncomfortable.

Overcoming Cocaine Addiction

Lakeview Health Systems has years of experience helping people addicted to cocaine achieve long-term recovery. First, our patients are admitted to our medically-supervised detox center. In detox, our board certified physicians assess our patients' needs and provide medications that can help alleviate many of the uncomfortable cocaine withdrawal symptoms.

Following detox, our patients begin the rehabilitation process and participate in a series of treatment components including:

  • Individual, group and family therapy
  • Nutritional counseling sessions
  • Recreational therapy
  • Aftercare planning

Lakeview is a long-term, inpatient rehab center. Our programs are at least 30 days in length, and are tailored to each patient's specific health and recovery requirements.
